Our Garden Room Installation Process.
We handle the full garden room installation from start to finish — including groundwork, base, structure, electrics, and finishes. Here’s how it works.
How Our Garden Room Installation Works
From the first screw to the final coat of paint, our garden room installation process is smooth, efficient, and built around you. We manage every stage in-house to ensure high standards, fast lead times, and complete peace of mind.
1. Preparing the Groundwork.
Before we begin your build, we assess the site to ensure it’s level and suitable. If you already have a solid base—such as concrete, paving, or decking—we can construct your garden room directly on top.
If not, no problem. We can install a timber frame base system, complete with sleeper posts concreted into the ground. Each base is custom built in our workshop to suit your specific garden room size and site conditions, then fitted on-site during installation. Saving you the hassle of preparing one yourself.

2. Timber Frame Build Begins.
Every Luna garden room starts in our workshop. We design and build each frame in-house, crafting the walls, floor, and roof into precision panels that are delivered to your site for fast, efficient garden room installation. This approach speeds up the process, ensures a perfect fit every time, and guarantees that no corners are cut.
For our Luna Essential Range, the wall panels are fully clad at the workshop before delivery. For our Luna Deluxe Range, we complete the external cladding on-site, allowing us to achieve the highest level of finish and detail.
3. Fit the Roof and EPDM roof covering.
All garden rooms are topped with a prefabricated roof, aligned and secured on-site. OSB boards and a glued-down EPDM rubber roof (a durable, maintenance-free system built to last for decades).

4. Doors, Windows.
Next, we install your selected doors and windows, usually in anthracite grey UPVC a sleek, modern finish that complements any garden setting. All units are double-glazed as standard, offering excellent thermal performance and long-term durability.
Each garden room comes with a 1400mm UPVC anthracite French door as standard, but you’re free to customise this during the design process.
Whether you’d like wider doors, additional windows, or alternative styles, we’ll tailor your glazing to suit your preferences and how you plan to use your space. We tailor our cladding process to suit your chosen range and finish.
5. Cladding.
For the Deluxe Range, cladding is installed on-site by our expert team. Once treated battens are fixed to the structure, we fit your selected cladding, whether timber or composite.
For the Essential Range, 99% of the cladding is pre-installed in our workshop before delivery. This speeds up on-site installation while maintaining the same level of craftsmanship, with only minor sections completed during the build.
As part of the weatherproofing process, if chosen we also install a breathable membrane or TF200 thermal breathable membrane, which enhances insulation while allowing moisture to escape.

6. Electrics & Insulation (If Required).
We’ll carry out the full first fix wiring during installation, this includes sockets, internal lighting, and a fully fitted consumer unit and External isolator. Outdoor lighting options can also be added to suit your needs as part of your garden room installation.
All of this comes as standard with our Luna Deluxe Range, providing a fully finished, ready-to-use space. With the Luna Essential Range, these features are available as optional upgrades, so you can tailor your garden room to your budget and intended use.
7. Interior Finish (If Included).
Deluxe garden rooms include a complete interior finish: plasterboard, plaster skim, paintwork, flooring, and skirting, along with second fix electrics.
If you’re upgrading an Luna Essential room, these options can also be added to create a fully liveable space.
